ehind every successful project there lies the hand of a Woman. The old adage
of women being behind successful men has today changed to account for the
new reality and the role the fairer sex is playing in the emerging economy.
Women today form a very large percentage of the educated work force in the country
and in fact are proving to be the country’s key skill assets. In the new Net era in
particular, women are expected to perform myriad and diversified roles. As far as
the software environment is concerned, a woman is in fact proving herself to be the best
person for the job!

source of skills and expertise.
Gujarat can enlist these skilled women soldiers into its IT army by setting up
centers that cater to customer interaction services, back office operations,
transcription/translation services, and other services such as remote education, data
search, market research and network consultancy. Besides IT-enabled options,
concepts such as tele-working will have to be given a major boost. By tele-working,
women can become economically productive without stepping out of the comfort
